Regulations on Family Planning of Anhui Provinces

These Regulations were passed at the 6th Session of the Standing Committee of the 7th People's Congress (PC) of Anhui Province on October 31, 1988 and revised at the 10th Session of the Standing Committee of the 9th PC of Anhui Province on June 6, 1999.

Chapter 3 Birth Control

Article 12 If found to have serious genetic diseases or other illnesses that are medically regarded as not appropriate for childbirth, both parties or either party of a couple shall have sterilization or take other contraceptive measures. Medical or health institutions shall report the contraceptive situation of the patients to the township government or neighborhood committee where their permanent residence is registered.
