Refinement and further development of concepts under “inclusive and sustainable urban development”

The Unit will also carry out action research and further refinement of the concept of inclusive and sustainable urban development, based on a seven pillar vision of cities and towns in Asia and the Pacific: cities and towns that are economically productive; environmentally sustainable; socially inclusive; globally, regionally and locally connected; participatory in decision-making; resilient to shocks and climate change; and culturally vibrant.
