Capacity building of Local Governments on Addressing the Challenge of Climate Change

ESCAP also works closely with regional networks such as CITYNET, UCLG-ASPAC and LOGOTRI to undertake capacity building of local governments in Asia and the Pacific to address climate change mitigation and adaptation and explore possibilities for carbon financing for environmental infrastructure development. Among others, workshops have been held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Changwon, Republic of Korea, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Singapore.
