Background

The Second Green Growth Policy Dialogue on the Role of Public Policy in Providing Sustainable Consumption Policies: Resources Saving Society and Green Growth is organized by UNESCAP in close collaboration with the China Standard Certification Centre and with assistance from the National Development Reform Commission of China from 23 to 25 of May 2006 in Beijing, China. While trying to apply the green growth approach in improving eco-efficiency of consumption pattern in support of the Marrakech process, Second Green Growth Policy Dialogue would focus on improving eco-efficiency of the consumption patterns and demand side management, as well as on the potential role of government policy and that of lifestyles and traditional values to improving the eco-efficiency of consumption patterns.
