Objective:

The forum provided a platform for city mayors, top government officials, decision makers and experts to present and discuss the key issues related to sustainable urban infrastructure development in Asia and the Pacific, and find innovative ways to make infrastructure more inclusive and sustainable and our cities more livable and competitive.

The theme of the 2nd Forum was: "Low-Carbon, Green Growth: Harnessing the Potential of Cities". Guided by this theme, the Forum discussed the role of cities as drivers to achieve low-carbon, green growth.

Outcome:

Mayors participating in the Forum adopted a Joint Declaration on Urban Green Growth, recognizing the need for local governments to promote green growth and environmentally sustainable urban infrastructure in support to inclusive and sustainable urban development in the region, and declaring their commitment to regional cooperation.
