Stakeholders' involvement in policy and programme development and implementation

The third session focused on the application of an integrated approach to energy and rural development at the country level. Two case studies were prepared for Thailand and the Philippines, respectively, by resource persons. Plenary and group discussions were made to address the following core issues:

What kind of mechanisms can support appropriate involvement of stakeholders in formulation and implementation of policies and programmes for energy development in rural areas?
How is stakeholders' involvement currently supported and managed by governments when policies or programmes are formulated and implemented?
