Objective |
to seek advice and guidance from the experts in developing strategies towards the enhancement of energy security and organization of the proposed the Asian and Pacific Energy Forum (APEF) at the ministerial level in 2013.
The EGM served as an important platform to initiate substantive discussions for the preparation for the APEF. It helped to identify possible challenges that require further analysis ahead of the Ministerial event, suggested inputs towards drafting an agenda and, provided valuable inputs to the secretariat to develop a road map. The EGM recognized that the organization effort will involve extensive collaboration from concerned United Nations agencies, international and sub-regional organizations and financing institutions.
