Sustainable Development of 

 Water, Land and Mineral Resources 

The Water and Mineral Resources Section (WMRS) conducts research, publishes reports and organizes dialogue on a wide range of issues related to water,land and mineral resources and their sustainable development.  The three main thrusts of the section are:

    Water resources management strategies

    Integrated assessment and management of land and mineral resources

    Strategies for natural disaster prevention, preparedness and mitigation

WMRS also provides advisory services to member countries in developing policies and strategic plans at the national level, in integrated land and water resources development and management, land use and urban planning, mineral policy and mineral economics, strengthening institutional and investment promotion in the mineral sector.
