This volume contains selected papers presented at the International Seminar on Capacity Building for Environmental Management in Asia-Pacific Mining, held at Jakarta in September 1994, and the International Workshop on Environmental Issues in Mining held in Cam Pha, Viet Nam, in December 1995.
The purpose of such activities was to provide governments in the Asia and Pacific region with better understanding of integration of environmental practices in sustainable economic development.
