This publication aims at increased understanding of the complex metallogeny and mineral resources potential of Azerbaijan which have resulted from geodynamic evolution and complex tectonic and structural setting of the Caucasian mountain system. The publication contains a brief review of the stratigraphy, magmatism and tectonics of major structural units of the country, a description of the mineral resources and potential, recent policy initiatives, and the regulatory framework for resource development.
