Voluntary efforts to conserve the environment
- Sub-article 4 of Article 8 of the Japanese Basic Environment Law urges that corporations be responsible for making voluntary efforts to conserve the environment such as reduction of the environmental loads in the course of their business activities; and for cooperating with the policies implemented by the State or local governments with regard to environmental conservation.
