1. Capacity-building among policy makers for formulating and coordinating
integrated environment and economic policies
According to the Department of National Planning sources, there is a need to develop skills, local expertise and manuals, as well as assistance from international expertise in identifying priorities and mapping out measures for achieving a suitable balance between the priorities of development, poverty alleviation and environmental concerns.
