C. Relevant multilateral and environmental agreements
Papua New Guinea is a party to a number of international and regional conventions and treaties regarding trade and the environment (table 7). However, none of those agreements are specific to the minerals sector or the export of minerals. The following sections briefly discuss the major multilateral agreements which have implications for the minerals sector in Papua New Guinea.
