3. Focal points for ASEAN environmental cooperation

Taking into account the experiences of Malaysian palm oil, rubber and cocoa producers, other possible areas of cooperation with other producers in the region are possible. Those areas include cooperation in development planning, technology, policy formulation, research and development, and institutional strengthening for those commodities built within the general strategies and actions for regional cooperation in ASEAN (see annex I).
