9. Tourism
With its natural scenic beauty, ancient religious and historical sites, monuments, rich cultural heritage, forts, forests, hills, lakes, alpine valleys and wildlife, the province has great tourism potential. To encourage tourism the provincial Department of Tourism has improved the existing tourist resorts and is providing new roads, hotels, restaurants and accommodations for tourists. But much work still has to be done on improving this sector.
