5. Floods and siltation
Indiscriminate deforestation and land development has caused frequent flooding in low-lying areas of the Klang valley, including the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. Siltation is caused by developers who exploit land without much concern for the environment as well as indiscriminate felling in forest areas.
