7. Expressway system
The framework for the Liaoning expressway already exists. Shenyang is the hub of the expressway system. At present, the expressway from Shenyang to Shanhaiguan is under construction.
The system will benefit urban social and economic development. For example, the expressway will reduce the distance and travel times between cities, which in turn will benefit tourism.
Liaoning province has a long history, a rich cultural heritage and a varied geographical environment, making an ideal tourism centre.
The expressway system around Shenyang will contribute to the formation of a tourism "chain", such as Shenyang-Dalian, Shenyang-Yinkou, Shenyang-Anshan-Dalian, Shenyang-Fushun, Shenyang-Shanhaiguan etc.
The development of tourism will be beneficial to the development of the region's industry, the transformation of industrial infrastructure and sustainable development of Shenyang City.
