3. Major contribution to environmental enhancement
The departments concerned closely coordinated their activities in order
to enhance environmental management. The controls on galvanization factories
involved a wide section of the government administration and many problems.
Therefore the close cooperation of the Shenyang Environmental
Protection Bureau, the Planning Committee,
the Economic Committee and the Construction
Committee, as well as the support of the Shenyang Public
Security Bureau, People's Inspection
Institute, the Industry
and Commerce Authority, Town
and Rural Enterprises Authority, the Chemical
Industry Company and Chemical
Industry Station, enabled strict enforcement of environmental regulations.
