Environmental information, qualitative and quantitative, is multidisciplinary. Their sources are dispersed and a variety of methods are used in their collection, compilation and analysis. The need for sufficient staff in terms of number, skills and knowledge is thus imperative if the appropriate environmental information is to be compiled and analysed.
