V. MULTILATERAL TRADE AND ENVIRONMENTAL AGREEMENTS, AND DOMESTIC POLICY FORMULATION

This chapter looks first at multilateral trade agreements and environmental treaties to which Tonga is a signatory, and then briefly describes the characteristics of each agreement and treaty, and how they are currently administered in Tonga. Consideration is then given to ways in which those agreements are incorporated into domestic policy formulation, followed by the identification of the constraints that inhibit effective implementation.
