Language and Communication

  Thai language classes:

1. "Survival Thai" Level 1

This introductory course focuses on intensive Thai language skills. Students who successfully complete this course will be much better equipped to get around Thailand. This course will be offered again in the next term delivered by teachers from Pro Language School. The course takes place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4 to 5.30 pm. Like the other course, this programme is self-financed at THB 5,500 per person, provided that 10 students register. Course fee varies depending on the number of the registrants.

    Topics to be covered
       

    •  Self introduction and basic informative question words
    •  Small talk and basic yes-no question words
    •  Polite requests
    •  Numbers and the counting system
    •  Time words and clock
    •  Talking about the family
    •  Asking for directions
    •  Telephone part I and part II
    •  Restaurant part I and part II

2. "Survival Thai" Level 2

The Intermediate course expands more fully on the basic language that has been taught in the first level. At this level, we also offer the option for students to start learning the requirements of reading and writing Thai. If the reading and writing option is taken up, approximately 30 minutes out of every 90-minute lesson session will then be dedicated to this facet of study.The course takes place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4 to 5.30 pm. Like the other course, this programme is self-financed at THB 5,500 per person, provided that 10 students register. Course fee varies depending on the number of the registrants.
