  Negotiating Diversity Conflicts (Follow-up to Collaborative Negotiation Skills)

    Target audience: Staff members who have completed the Collaborative Negotiation Skills programme

    Objectives:
    The follow up session will enable participants to:



     

    • Deepen understanding and skills presented in the Collaborative Negotiation Skills programme
    • Apply conflict resolution skills to resolving diversity related conflicts
    • Explore the ways in which social, role and historical identities influence conflict dynamics
    • Gain practice and coaching in order to increase individual conflict resolution capacity

    Topics to be covered:



     

    • Managing interpersonal style differences in negotiation;
    • Understanding the role of identity and power in conflicts and gaining practical tools for more effective management of these crtical factors;
    • Advancing negotiation and meditation skills through case studies.
