The conference rooms where the meetings are to be held are air-conditioned and the temperature is maintained in the range of
23-24 degrees Celsius (72-73 degrees Fahrenheit).
In addition to filling out a disembarkation card, all visitors must fill out a Travellers Declaration Form when entering/
leaving the country to declare the amount of currency brought in and taken out.
A non-resident is allowed to bring in Ringgit notes not exceeding RM1,000.00 and any amount of foreign currency into Malaysia.
When departing, he or she is allowed to carry out Ringgit notes not exceeding RM1,000.00 and foreign currency notes (including
travellers cheques) not exceeding the amount brought in.
The Malaysian currency is the Ringgit (RM), which is divided into 100 sen. Ringgit notes are in denominations of RM100, RM50,
RM20, RM10, RM5, and RM2. Coins are issued in denominations of RM1, 50 sen, 20 sen, 10 sen, 5 sen and 1 Sen.
Moneychangers and banks are found on every other corner in KL. Rates are fairly consistent, though private moneychangers
sometimes offer slightly better rates for cash than banks. Most banks and shopping malls provide international ATMs
(typically on the ground floor or basement level).
