The purpose of the Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2007 is three-fold:
- To provide a platform for senior government officials, business leaders and civil society representatives to discuss economic policy issues and their implications for Central Asia's increasing integration in the global economy.
- To explore ways in which Central Asia can best meet the challenges and grasp the opportunities of globalization.
- To foster region-wide networking and partnerships between the business community, Governments and civil society.
The discussions at the Forum are expected
to lead to the formulation of an action-oriented agenda
with specified roles for governments, business, international
organizations and civil society.
