TRANSPORT DIVISION Latest developments  Forum of Asian Ministers of Transport first session to be held in 2009  Asian Highway Truck Caravan  UN Forum to Promote Investment in the Asian Highway  PPP Conference on Infrastructure Development, 2-4 Oct 2007, Seoul  Ministerial Conference on Transport, 6-11 November 2006, Busan, Republic of Korea  New way to measure transport efficiency as proposed at the Almaty meeting on landlocked and transit developing countries (Time/Cost distance methodology) About the Division The Transport Division works with member countries, including the public and private sector stakeholders to help them to optimize and manage the opportunities brought by the deepening globalization. The work is implemented by three sections: Transport Infrastructure, Transport Facilitation and Transport Policy and Tourism. Several areas of work require close collaboration and are jointly implemented by the three sections.
