Workshop on Asian and Pacific City Census Data Analysis

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) jointly organized Workshop on Asian and Pacific City Census Data Analysis from 30 November – 3 ecember 2009 at ESCAP in Bangkok. The main objective of the Workshop was to pursue and deepen the analysis of inequalities and social and economic outcomes at city level using census data. In addition to the production of comparative wealth indicators, the Workshop would help refine the estimation of urban inequalities, in particular the shelter dimension, and assess the need for cooperation between statistical offices and data users.
