High-level Asia-Pacific Policy Dialogue
on the Brussels Programme of Action
for the Least Developed Countries

18 to 20 January 2010
Dhaka, Bangladesh

UNESCAP and the Government of the Bangladesh jointly organized the High-level Asia-Pacific Policy Dialogue on the Brussels Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 18 to 20 January 2010. The Policy Dialogue was organized in close cooperation and collaboration with the Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries ad Small Island States (OHRLLS) as the UN system-wide Focal Point for the Fourth United Nations Conference for the Least Developed Countries. It involved the 15 Asia-Pacific LDCs (including Yemen) and was attended by all key stakeholders of the BPoA, including ESCAP member Governments, members of the Global Coordinating Bureau of the Group of the LDCs, UN organizations, specialized agencies, funds and programmes, relevant international and regional organizations, development partners, and the broad spectrum of civil society. Six Asia-Pacific LDCs were represented at the Minsiterial level.
