UN-EPOC Advisory Council
The Executive Secretary had commissioned an
independent evaluation of UN-EPOC in 2003. One of the main recommendations
from that review was the establishment of UN-EPOC Advisory Council
to oversee the activities of UN-EPOC's work programme and activities.
The membership of the Advisory Council include the Heads of
19 Pacific island government delegations, as well as representatives
of Australia and New Zealand attending the Special Body session.
The second session of the Advisory Council is scheduled to be
held on the morning of 5 April 2006 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
