Focus areas of the Pacific Operations Centre
Poverty Alleviation and Employment Generation

The Pacific Operations Centre aims to achieve poverty alleviation through income and employment generation for vulnerable groups, with a specific focus on youths and women. Particular attention will be given to the tourism sector as it is a large employer in the Pacific region with ample room for growth.

Key partners of the Centre are the ILO Pacific Office , Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Centre (PFTAC / IMF) , UNDP Pacific Centre, Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat PIFS, South-pacific.travel (formerly South Pacific Tourism Organisation)
