5. Environmental briefings
The provision of environmental briefings is one effective approach to disseminating environmental information. Throughout 1995, 26 briefings pertaining to Department of Environment strategies, programmes and activities as well as other environmentally-related matters were given to visitors, comprising university students, officers of the Royal Malaysian Navy, private sector executives, the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) international course participants, as well as foreign visitors from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand and Viet Nam.
