3. National Institute of Public Administration

In 1987, NIPA started a one-month international environmental management course for in-service personnel in collaboration with Peshawar University, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) Nepal and Man and Biosphere Programme (MAB). The course is aimed at sensitizing policy planners and officials of other organizations to the possible impacts of development activities on the environment, thus making it possible for decision makers to incorporate the necessary parameters while approving and implementing development projects and when formulating the future plans. Another objective of the course is to produce a pool of master trainers who can further impart training in their respective institutions.
