2. Total solid waste production

The total amount of solid waste production includes discharges of industrial solid waste and domestic rubbish. The projected total amount of solid waste production is given in table 6 (Yuan Zhuren, 1996).

Table 6. Projections of solid waste production

Notes: Lapse rate of rate of industrial solid waste production: 50 percent in 2000; 55 per cent in 2010: and 60 per cent in 2020. Production of domestic rubbish by 200 kg/year of per capita garbage in the base year, the rate of increase will be: 3 percent in 2000; 4 per cent in 2010; and 5 per cent in 2020.
