2. Information needs

Most of the planning/evaluation tools (i.e., ecological profiling, ENRA, EIA, cost-benefit analysis) identified above require the availability of adequate and accurate databases on the environment and natural resources, including: resource inventories; ecological profiles; state of the environment, and basic demographic and economic data.
