A Consultative Meeting among the Executive Heads of Subregional Organizations and ESCAP will be held in Almaty on Wednesday 23 May 2007 on the margins of the ESCAP Commission session. The Secretary Generals or senior representatives of ASEAN, Economic Cooperation Organization, Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat and SAARC will participatein the discussions with the Executive Secretary of ESCAP. The Secretaries-Generals of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Eurasian Economic Community will also join the meeting as Observers. The meeting will discuss promoting among other matters cooperation in Infrastructure Development and Financing and Trade and Investment in the Asia Pacifc region.
