Closing Press Conference of ESCAP 56th Session
BANGKOK (United Nations Information Services) ---The United Nations Economic and Social
Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will conclude its 56th annual session tomorrow,
Wednesday, 7 June 2000. The adoption of the final Report will begin at 2:00 p.m. in ESCAP
Hall, Level 2 of the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC).
Chairman of the 56th session H.E. Mr. Kamal Kharazzi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic
Republic of Iran, and Mr. Adrianus Mooy, Executive Secretary of ESCAP, will co-chair an
end-of-session Press Conference on the outcome of the session tomorrow, Wednesday, 7 June
2000 at around 5:00 p.m. in the Theatre, Ground Floor of the UNCC.
The Press Conference is expected to begin immediately after the adoption of the final Report
of the Commission.
You or your representative are cordially invited to attend the closing Press
Conference as well as the adoption of the final Report of the 56th Commission
session.
